DR. SURAJIT BHATTACHARYYA (REGISTRAR)
Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management is one of the premier Engineering Colleges, located in the heart of the city of Kolkata. The college was established with a view to enhance the scope of Technical education to the young Boys and Girls in the “City of Joy”. Till today we have focused in that goal, while we have already achieved a little bit success in that effort.
It is a journey of about 05 (Five) years. 02 (Two) batches came out, while the 3rd batch is on the verge of passing out. But even in this short span, our students are able to put their marks in the list of toppers in West Bengal University of Technology Examinations with great success. A huge number of our students have already stepped into the corporate world; many more are eagerly waiting to enter.
However, a lot of things are yet to be achieved. Today, we rely on a strong Academic discipline and on a dedicated Team of Faculty Members to impart quality technical education to our students. Students also take part in various kinds of Extra Curricular Activities. Recently we have introduced a training in Finishing School for our students in order to make them “Industry Ready”. Entrepreneurship development programs may also be taken as an effective tool in future to thrive on self-reliance, under the backdrop of economic reverses around the world.
