CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
The student mentality and make up, which is deeply influenced by the ethics and values of C.I.E.M. society, aims at shaping a new horizon, devoid of discrimination and differences. For that, every cultural activity of the college perceives a blend of our inherent culture with the impulsive present and on the platform of retro, constructs the future. The institution has been instrumental in unearthing talents from its huge student resource and open a wide new horizon for them.It has seen the performances by eminent artists like Bikram Ghosh, Srikanta Acharya, Anjan Dutta, Rupankar and also the torch bearers of the rock revolution like Fossils, Cactus etc on different occassions. The cultural events include annual cultural festival or fest, annual technological fest or tech-fest, welcome ceremony for the freshers, farewell for the batch passing out etc. These efforts, altogether, is creating a new domain for the name C.I.E.M.in the map of the conscious “City of Joy”. The college fests are not all about sitting back and enjoying, it is actually a 3 day affair which incorporates into itself a host of inter college competitions, which includes singing, dancing, TT, quiz debate, extempore, robotics, software and hardware troubleshooting etc. These have won the college accolades both in media and mass and have rendered the name C.I.E.M. an easily recognizable name in the socio-cultural scenario.
